TGA - THE GALLERIES ASSOCIATION

TGA

The Galleries Association is a networking and community organisation supporting the small and independent galleries of West London — particularly those in Colville, Portobello, and Ladbroke Grove. It organises guided gallery tours, live events, and performances to connect collectors, enthusiasts, and artists with the independent gallery sector.

Who TGA Are

Rooted in the long-standing creative community of Portobello Road and Notting Hill, the Foundation plays a vital role in supporting the survival and visibility of independent galleries within one of London's most historically significant artistic districts. Our commitment to this sector is demonstrated through active, community-focused programming, such as our documented 2025–2026 event series. A key highlight of this cycle is the February 2026 gallery tour, launched in collaboration with Portobello Radio and starting at The Muse Gallery (W11 1LR).

By providing public access to gallery culture through these accessible tours, we bridge the gap between artists, gallerists, and enthusiasts across the West London sector. These initiatives do more than just provide visibility; they strengthen the Foundation's gallery network and broader sector connectivity. This ensures that independent galleries remain a represented and integrated part of our charitable structure, while guaranteeing that the public maintains meaningful access to the unique, independent art scene that defines West London.

Our mission is to celebrate and sustain the independent gallery culture of West London by providing a networking resource for galleries and their management, and by inviting the public to engage with galleries through curated tours, performances, and events.

Our key activities:

  • Guided gallery tours across West London (Artist lead spaces, Serpentine Galleries, Design Museum and more)

  • Guided Studio visits across West and East London

  • Live performances at gallery stops

  • Industry networking events for gallery managers, artists, and collectors

  • Collaboration with Portobello Radio
